The Government of South Africa and the Union for African Population Studies are pleased to announce the 7th African Population Conference between 30th November – 4th December, 2015. The theme of the conference is “Demographic dividend in Africa: prospects, opportunities and challenges”.
The African Population Conference is organized every four years in order to review the state of knowledge on various population issues affecting the African continent. The conference brings together a diverse set of professionals, including: multi-disciplinary scholars, government officials, parliamentarians, service providers, multilateral and bilateral donors, the media and civil society. The conference plays a key role in strengthening networks; enhancing the visibility of African population issues, and promoting an integrated approach to the study and application of knowledge on population dynamics in development planning.
Interested scholars and practitioners are invited to submit abstracts to present papers. The deadline for submission of abstracts is 31 July 2015.
