Membership is free and open to those working on population and environment issues. As of April 2015, PERN had more than 2,100 members worldwide, representing academic, governmental and non-governmental organizations, and a wide range of disciplines including demography, geography, forestry, urban planning and more.

Members receive the periodic What’s New bulletin, are alerted to forthcoming cyberseminars, and are also automatically subscribed to the PERN discussion list (members can opt out).

Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email with the details you entered in the form.

Your primary email addresses will become your username, visible only to other logged-in PERN members. For public visibility, use the secondary email field below.

Primary Discipline *

Please select your primary discipline and secondary discipline from these pull down lists. Your primary discipline would be the discipline of highest degree or concentration. The secondary discipline would be any other discipline you have studied. Note that disciplines are purposely broad. If you wish to characterize your degree or research interests more narrowly, please do so in the "Interests" field below. If your discipline is missing from the list, please either find the closest match or email us with the name of the discipline and we will consider adding it.
