Quantifying spatiotemporal patterns of urbanization: The case of the two fastest growing metropolitan regions in the United States.

Using a selected set of landscape metrics, the authors compared the spatial and temporal patterns of urbanization in the Phoenix (1912-1995) and Las Vegas (1907-1995) metropolitan regions, the two two fastest growing cities in the United States .
