Central African Regional Program for the Environment Images and Maps

This section of the web site offers users the capability to view samples from the Central African GIS datasets contained in the final CARPE CD-ROM version dowload all available datasets of the CD-ROM and view/ dowload additional GIS layers not contained in the CD-ROM that were produced by UMD/NASA. The coverages are in ESRI shapefile and ARC/INFO export files format. Each page contains downloadable arc/info/view data layers in a zip format that is readable by both PC and UNIX machines. Each .zip package contains the .shp, .shx, .e00, .dbf and .tbl files that correspond to the product layers. The .doc and/or .txt files contain legends and source information.
