This paper is the result of a joint effort between the Government of Pichincha Province (GADPP) in Ecuador, and the PRODEM program (Protection of Human Rights of People with respect to Human Mobility) implemented by GIZ (German Technical Cooperation). The paper aims at addressing the complexity and uncertainty posed by the link between human mobility and climate change, but especially to contribute to the discussion about protecting a$ected people whose rights have been ignored.
